Life I was diagnosed with a life-threatening illness and deemed to die at the age of eighteen going on nineteen. I went through radiation which saved my life. Now, a Second brain lesion has occured and I am about to battle for my life, AGAIN! I am now 34 yrs. Life has been difficult but it has its good points too. Never give up faith and hope. I went to college in Missouri but graduated from Grapevine High School, GV, TX 76051. It was a lot of fun in computers despite having the brainstem tumor and my brain disease, hydrocephalus. I have a shunt for that and have had a total of 14 revisions in 9 years. I finally had a craniotomy to take out the first brainstem lesion. It took me a good 18 months to recover from Sept. 3rd,1997 to Oct.1998. Then, I had my last Shunt revision the following month. Whew! Remember, Faith, got to have Faith! The Second lesion was just discovered on August 9th, 20004. It is actually on the skull in the parietal region but it is directly OVER the shunt area on the left hand side! THAT has me very worried! I have already started to drop some things in my right hand, and of course, I have the numbness and weakness on that side from the first craniotomy.
